➢ A detailed description of missing item.
➢ How long the item has been missing.
➢ Call back number for follow-up.
NTHCL’s Lost and Found Program is a value-added service for our customers. NTHCL cannot guarantee the items will be recovered due to many uncertainties.
Please review the process for understanding:
NTHCL receives 70,000,000 linen items annually to be sorted and washed.
NTHCL employees consciously look for foreign items.
Hospital Equipment includes items such as monitoring equipment of various types, cables, instruments, TV remote controls, etc.
Our employees sort through about 200,000 pieces of linen daily and will make every effort to recover items reported lost BEFORE the washing process.
It could take up to a week to recover the lost items sent to our highly automated industrial laundry.
Soft items (i.e., Clothes, Blanket, Robes or Small Customized Items) may NOT be found due to the sorting process of the soiled linen.
Of the 3,000,000 soiled scrubs received annually, laundry employees will shake and feel the scrubs quickly to determine if any foreign items are present in the soiled linen. Items typically recovered in the scrub uniforms (i.e., Jewelry, Money, ID/Credit/Debit Cards) may NOT always be found due to the highly productive sorting process of the soiled linen.
Note: NTHCL is not responsible for any reported lost, damaged or stolen property sent accidentally to the laundry. The item many have not been placed in the soiled linen, may have been damaged in the automated equipment or stolen.
